KCR says Telangana is possible in 2 months

KCR says Telangana is possible in 2 months
In the recent meeting, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that he would not be surprised if the Central government grants Telangana statehood in one or two months.

TRS President, K.C.R said that Hyderabad could be a shared capital for two States for a "limited period" in the event of division of Andhra Pradesh, if that was an acceptable solution.

"They [Non-Telangana regions] can live happily if a separate state is created. The Centre can give them a package. Shared capital [Hyderabad] can be a possibility for a limited period of time. They can run their administration in Hyderabad until a new capital and infrastructure are developed for them," Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao said.
The Center was looking into the possibility of joining Anantapur and Kurnool with Telangana with the idea of bifurcating the state according to the TRS president K. Chandershekar who claimed that this information he had received from reliable sources.

Talking to the media informally, Chandrashekar Rao said the proposal was also discussed Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi when they met in Hyderabad. The MIM, who happen to be political leaders of the two regions were favorable to this idea for no doubt different reasons. The MIM did not have any objection to the idea as there is considerable number of Muslims residing there. Also the leaders of Anantapur as well as Kurnool to be with Telanagana as that would provide much benefit to the state from the Godavari Basin.

The TRS president claims that some understanding had been agreed upon, but the issue on hand was with regard to the positioning of Hyderabad.

Several agitations and protests have be on for quite some time for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in order to create separate Telangana state.
