Junior doctors spar with Telangana doctors

HYDERABAD: Representatives of the Telangana Doctors Association, who went to the Gandhi Hospital here on Tuesday to mediate between the agitating junior doctors and the state government, had a heated argument with the junior doctors who refused to call off the strike.
Telangana Doctors Association secretary general P Praveen said the junior doctors were adamant on continuing the strike though the government offered to give a written assurance to them on all their demands. Leaders of the Junior Doctors Association, however, said they were always open for talks with the government.
With the deadlock continuing, medical services at all government teaching hospitals in the state continued to be hit.
